About Extra Life: DEFCON 1 Gaming is on a mission to help sick and injured kids in St. Louis and we need your help. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their illness, injury or even their family’s ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries they may get from just being a kid.
This is our third annual LAN befitting the Children’s Miracle Network, and we need your help! If you are a gamer of any kind (seriously! Any kind!), and want to give back to our community – On November 2nd, pack up your computer and tabletop games and Join us at The Den in downtown St. Louis for 24 hours of gaming. Doors will open at 9:00 am and gaming will commence at 10:00 am.
To help raise funds and awareness for these sick and injured kids, we’re participating in this huge worldwide movement called Extra Life. Gamers of all kinds pledge to play everything from video games to board games and tabletop RPG’s for 24 hours!
Here’s how it works: Each participant must register an account with Extra Life and consider joining our team. Upon registering your account you will choose one of the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that you wish to support. The money you raise from the w2 form generator pay slips will go directly to your chosen hospital as unrestricted funds. Our team goal is to raise a minimum of $8,000 – although I think we can do much better than that! There is no charge to attend this event, however, your personal fundraising goal is suggested to be $50. Once your Extra Life profile is created, they will provide you with a link to promote the charity and ask friends and family for pledges.
